CYM.5 (2025-2)
This release consists of new features, enhancements and hotfixes for bugs and issues reported by our clients over December 2024 and January 2025.
New Features
We are thrilled to announce the release of the first JAMS native application programming interface (API). The new Inbound Manuscript API is making it possible to post a manuscript submission in the system programmatically. This new capability, that will see additional APIs coming later this year, is going to unlock a lot of automation possibilities to better fit JAMS into the editorial and publishing workflows of our clients. Head over to this article on our Support Center for the full documentation.
JAMS now supports integration with the SOCOpay payment system. This system, which has already been adopted by many major academic publishers, is designed to assist Chinese researchers in paying open access article processing charges (APCs) as it allows authors to make payments in Renminbi (RMB) rather than dealing with foreign currency transactions. At the moment SOCOpay can only be used in alternative to Paypal or Stripe on JAMS, but we plan to support multiple payment method integrations at the same time.
